I had asked my sergeons office not to long ago about this becaues I just stared mine and I was worried, do they want me to fail, succeed, or what... very confusing.. And this is what she said...

The reason, is this, they just want to see that you have tried a non surgical method of weight reduction. Even if you do lose weight it has been proven people dont keep it off. So dont worry about losing weight on the 6 month diet.  Hope this helps!! Kristi

Hi Renee! I am just going thru some old postings to see if i can get some help. I am going thru the same office as you. I know that if it were the office mangr to remain nameless,  who said you would be denied, she always says discouraging things to people. I remember about a year ago she was very discouraging to me.  She kinda just flat out told me i wouldnt be apprvd for "x" and "y" reasons. However, I just got denied again about a week ago, and I called BCBS and asked what it was missing. she said documents of 6 months sup diet. I gave all of it to them. The CSR told me the dates werent readable on my med records. So I am going 4 it once again. I wish that all of the staff had the same drive and determination for patients that some of the staff has. 3 yrs ago when Dr Joyce did RNY on my mom the office mngr was the best! She took care of everything. Now its like i am out 'fending for myself. Hope all goes well for you.  Since me are going thru the same office, we could KIT and let each other know whats going on.  If you want, my email is [email protected] Be encouraged!
