Tricare Select Reserve Miltary people pls help
Hi,
Ok any military out there? I am in Delaware. I already contacted Christiana they are "Out of Network" and would want a doctors fee of 6000 "UPFRONT" plus there is also a 11,000 to 16,000 fee for the hospital. Then I would have to submit to Tricare myself.
Tricare Select is just now being made available to ALL national guard and reserves. How and WHERE can I go to get this done?I want Lapband but have heard only certain MTF will do it and it would HAVE to be done there.
How does all of this work? It is SOOO confusing. Also Dover Air base is near me do they do this type of surgery?
Hi there, I am a retired Navy wife and I hope some of this information will be able to help you. I am not sure what Tricare region you are in, but you may want to try this website. www.hnfs.com for informaiton. This is the one used for the Central region. I am under Tricare Prime and I live only 5 miles from the Great Lakes Navy Hospital which is a medical training facility, and I am receiving a referral to a civilian doctor. I too have heard that MTF's will do them, but I am not sure which ones. The bad side is if you do get referred by your PCM (Primary Care Manager), Tricare only pays for RNY (Gastric Bypass).
I hope some of this information helps you out.
