Changing Insurance

I just had my lap-band and paid out of pocket for it since my insurance did not cover it. My question is, if I change insurances, and have a benefit for bariatic surgery, will my new insurance cover any follow-ups and fills, etc?? My concern is if I have to have a revision someday, the thought of paying out of pocket again is scary.
