Well, I know I have seen this question before but I am not able to find it.  BCBS-IL requires 5 years of medical history, what if you don't have any?  I have not been to a doctore since 2000, so there is no information.  How do you get around this hurdle? Thank you
Wendi

I turned in a copy of a medical record sheet that showed my weight in 2000.  That was the only thing I turned in and they accepted it.  They don't want you to have records necessarity within the last 5 years.  They just want proof that you have been morbidly obese for a least 5 years from now.  The records from your dr visit in 2000 should be all they need.  They approved mine within 2 days after they had all of the information.

I was told by my surgeon that if I was missing a year of weights that I should go back further into my record to prove obesity.  If you were obese during 1995-2000, I would include those weights as well as the weights you collect while you are doing to pre-op requirements during 2007. Did you go anywhere else where they took your weight?  Fitness club?  Weigh****chers?
