Life after being banded??

I was banded in 9/06 and after 2 denials and 2 appeals finally was approved.  I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company saying"Request for laparoscopy band adjustment"  clinical info does not meet medical necessity criteria.  " you are still losing weight & doing well". Does this sound strange to anyone besides me.  Yes, I am doing well and losing weight because I follow the band rules & go for fills as needed. Any feedback, advice & suggestions on how to convince the insurance company, this is what is needed in order to succeed. Thanks, Dee
