Question for Gary Viscio!
In May, I got a letter stating that I they couldn't approve me because my information was not sufficient. So, I waited till I got my six month diet completed. I submitted all of my info 2 1/2 weeks ago. They told me that they had to deny me because I didn't have 2 co-morbidiities. Hello?!?!?!? I have a BMI of over 45! My policy states that I do not have to have co-morbidities unless my BMI is from 35-39. I finally got that straight yesterday, with the help of an angel customer service rep! She called me this morning to tell me that we've gotten over that hurdle and now have another one! Now they're saying that the info on my PCP's records were not sufficient!!!! My PCP wrote everything that BCBS said they needed! The customer service girl said that they were looking for such things as weight goals, exercise goals and like a calorie restriction. My PCP did that, but she didn't put it in those exact words, so I called and asked them to add to the records. All she really had to do was put "weight goals:" and exercise goals:" on the records. I don't understand why they have a problem with my records. My PCP also recorded that I'd been on Adipex (a diet pill) and Nutrisystem. But yet, this is not enough! So, I had my six month diet submitted again and am waiting again! I am so tired of all of this run-around! They didn't even mention anything about my records not being good enough when they said I didn't have co-morbidities, so it seems that they're trying to make up things to keep me from getting approved! What do I do? Please help!!!
