INSURANCE QUESTION

Hello everyone ... I am new to the message boards and just recently decided that I want to pursue WLS.  My health insurance is BC/BS of MA Network Blue New England.  I have been reading different posts about people's insurances and have come across some that say that their insurance requires a 6 month documented exercise/diet plan.  Does anyone know if my insurance requires that?  From the research that I did about my insurance, I was unable to tell.  Any feedback, comments are greatly appreciated.  Thanks!! 

I have the same insurance.  Blue cross doesn't require it but yur surgeon may want to include it with the documents they submit to the insurance company for approval.  My issue is that my BMI is only 35 and with Blue cross your BMI has to be 35 with (2) co-morbidities - major ones like high blood pressure, diabetes and several other,  I don't have those issued but I do have severe GERD, Urinary stress incontinence and chronic back, hip and joint pain.  All of which is documented by my PCP and other doctors.  I have submitted all the paperwork to the surgeon and I am just waiting to see if I get approved.  I really need this surgery.  Good luck
