Intergroup/Valley Preferred

Hi there! I am in the process of seeking approval for my surgery from Intergroup/Valley Preferred from Spectrum Administrators. I have a concern. My DR wrote in my letter that I was a patient of his from 2004 until now which is true, but that doesn't document 5 years of obesity. I was certainly obese for 5 years, but not with this specific DR. Does anyone have any advice on whether or not this will be a small technicality or if it will actually land me a denial letter. I'm told my insurance is incredibly easy to get approved with, but I'm just nervous about that 5 year thing. Any advice? Thanks!
