Getting HR to make an exception to an exclusion
Hello All:
I have been posing to OH for over a year, but don't think I have ever posted here before. I have hit a brick wall with both my primary and secondary insurance having exclusions. My surgeons' office says they are pretty ironclad.
So, I decided to go to my company HR dept and have spoken with them about getting an exception. They gave me the information to contact Corp Hdqtrs who would be the deciding people.
What I need to know is......my initial contact is via email. Should I give them the whole package with a personal letter with all the reasons I should be considered including letters from my doctors...I have 3 plus the surgeon on my side....or what would you suggest for how I should handle it?

Hi There,
Well you and I are in the same boat together and I am looking for the same answer. I am about to get a file together to give to the corp Hdqtrs also. The only difference is that my husband knows one of the ladies and she is going to take it to them for him. But I want things to be in order. I too have 3 drs and have lots of stuff to send to them but I do not want to overwhelm them with just paperwork. So please anyone out here help us. I have to turn mine in on Tue July 24.
I do remember reading on one of the OH boards how to do this and have it all color coded but I can't find the post.
Im going through the samde thing and emailed the entire p0ackage. It consists of
A letter to the HR person explaining why i was going to her and my reasons. I then included an introduction letter to my insurance company, 2 letters from my doctor, my denial letter, my 3page appeal letter, my appeal letter written on my behalf by someone else, and then the information i got from the insurance company saying i'll get an answer by july 22. and some other stuff
If you want i can send you exactly what i sent, if you email me your home email. I think it's like 17pages total.
