Can I transfer Authorization?

Hello All! I finally received authorization for LapBand surgery BUT I discovered that the original hospital will not install the new AP band much to my dismay.  I would like to know if I can transfer my authorization to another In Network hospital program that will accept me? I didn't really care for the original hospital, and the drive is alot longer than the other hospital, but primarily it's because the new AP band is offered at my local. Any opinions! You need to check with your insurance carrier. I know that mine specifically states that any authorization is only for the specific physician and hospital. In order to change I would have to do the entire approval process again.
