Anyone have any idea on the out of pocket expense for gastric if your insurance approves and your plan is a 80/20 split?  Trying to figure out my budget

It really depends on many different factors to start the actual cost of your procedure and what your annual out of pocket max is.  My insurance is 750 deductible, 80/20 once deductible is met with total out of pocket annual at $1500 I ended up having a total of about $1200 that was not covered by the insurance my total surgery cost was around $36,000 for lap rny and gall bladder removal.

It all depends on who your surgeon is and what state you live in etc. and also if you have a maximum amount I have read alot on the costs and have seen that in general the average RNY with no complications runs close to $25,000 that would be about $5000 out of your pocket but if you already have an office in mind all them and check what is generally the total for any uncomplicated surgery.  Good luck-thank god I have wonderful wonderful insurance and have 100% coverage for my surgery!!
