HI...I really would like to get the Lap band surgery done. I guess I am just wondering if you can fight the Exclusion in your Insurance if it is put there by the State. I live in Texas. My husbands insurance, Aetna Choice POS, has a clause in it that the state put in it because his company has less than 100 people. He has talked to the person who helps get their insurance for his company. My husband is the Human Resource person for his company. Anyway, she told him that the clause was put in there because his company has less than 100 people and that there was no way to change it because it was from the State of Texas. Any insurance that his company gets will have it in it, since they are a little company. She told him to fight it. That she has seen it done and sometimes the Insurance will do it, but to fight it. I told my Doctor about it and she said that I should fight it also. She said that she would help me any way she could. I guess I was wondering what you think. Should I try to fight it? Has it ever been done? Is it worth it??? Or is it just a waste of time. I am miserable and have tried everything to loose weight since I was 10 years old. What should I do??? Please help me!
