ok, those of you who have been approved, what national company has the insurance that allows this surgery?  mine won't budge on getting rid of the written exclusion so i'm thinking about looking for another job!! thanks!!

CIGNA approved me for VSG and two of my friends, one for RNY and another for Lapband. All of us needed the 6-mo medically supervised diet and to meet the guidelines of 40 BMI without co-morbidities and 35 BMI with co-morbidities.

thanks so much, but i need another company to work for, like does wal-mart or at&t or whoever (national speaking so i can see if they have a company down here) does their insurance cover the surgery?  does that make sense?!

im in the same boat- i need a job with health insurance that covers this since my job HAD awesome insurance until they screwed me over and wont cover it. UNITED HEALTHCARE CHOICE PLUS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! but i have read walmart does NOT cover it.,..... i cant afford to leave my jobg wait 6 months for new insurance to kick in before finding out if it is covered or not

wal-mart does not, but I have heard Starbucks insurance does.  Also, Texas school employees almost all have coverage, at least in this area of Texas.  See if your local school district insurance covers.  Even if you have to be the cafeteria lady for six months, it would be worth it to cover the cost of the surgery.
