Prayer Request

Good Evening Everyone! Well... I met my surgeon for the first time today and he was wonderful.  I could have talked to him all day.  All those million evaluations and consults are complete and everyone gave me a thumbs up for surgery.  He told me I had a choice of which surgery I wanted to have, lapband or gastric bypass.  I chose the gastric bypass mainly because I don't want to go back and forth periodically getting lapband fills and I NEED every aspect of the benefits of bypass.  The good and the scary.

Now the most painful part for me... waiting for insurance approval.  My surgeon told me everything is in order and approval should not be an issue, especially since I have BCBS and his practice is a center of excellence.   I am the H.R. Manager for our company but we have a parent company that administers our benefits program.  Before I started any of this I contacted our insurance rep, downloaded our policy and gave a copy to the surgeon's office. So I feel all my bases are cover.   Please pray for me that the insurance company will help me save my life. Thanks!

I have just Prayed for your quick approval and a successful surgery with great weight loss results. I too am where you are and know how you feel. My stuff was submitted on the Tuesday. 

Thanks for your support everyone!   Still waiting and stressing... Not worried yet though.  I was told that a phone call will be made to BCBS and an approval can be as quick as a day or two.  It will make my whole weekend if I get my approval before the weekend...  I'm very optimistic at this point.
