I don't know if you've already looked at this, but if you go the OH main home and click on the link called "your insurance" in the "share" box...then click on your state, it will bring up a list of all the insurance companies in your region as well as real weight loss surgery patients (or hopefuls) "ratings" of the companies. I find it interesting to go through them and read which insurance companies are terrific, and which ones are difficult. They also include comments about the approval process, how long it took, etc, etc, etc... There are a lot of comments about Aetna. If you haven't already, take a look. Here's the link to make it easier for you:

I to have Aetna POS, and my surgeon will submit my paper work tomorrow. I really think that you have anything to worry about considering where your BMI is now. I feel the same way you do, I am super Anxious and I don't have one of the major co-morbids that Aetna states. But my BMI has been over 40 for the last 5 years and I only have 4 years of proof. My surgeon nurse said I should be ok. According to the nurse at my surgeon's office she has submitted papework and received the approval the next day and in most cases with in a few days. Of course they have 30 days but from what I understand it usually doesn't take that long. I have my fingers crossed for you. Good luck and GODspeed.
