Insurance question, who should I be upset with??

I have completed all the requirements for WLS and my doctors office said that my pw was faxed over 2 weeks ago.  I started calling UHC after 1 week from the time the pw was faxed, I was told they had not received any pw.  I called surgeon's office, was told the fax did not go through (an entire week after it was faxed the first time).  They said they would fax it again that day.   Called UHC 3 days later, no pw received.  UHC gave me a fax number which I have passed on to the office.  It has now been another 4 days and UHC says nothing has been received.  I've called and left another message at the surgeons' office.  What should I do next.  I want to go to the office and witness the pw being faxed while on the phone with UHC to confirm it is being received!  This is driving me nuts.  Any advice??

I had something similar happen. I went in to the office and spoke to the office manager. He got someone else to be my advocate and I had my approval about 4 days afterwards.

I have UHC and the same thing happened to me, until I got a nice lady on the phone and she told me to have my doctors office call and open a case so there was a reference number to reference on the fax.  They did it, and it was all in the system in the next 2 days, including the paperwork, not just the phone call.  I am still waiting for the answer and they have had the paperwork for two weeks.  I get so frusterated because you see other people get approved in 2 days even one week, and I am going into week 3.  It also helps more when the doctor's office calls to follow up on the paperwork, I call everyday but each time they call it seems to get pushed further.

keep on the office without getitng crazy, or make a copy of it and fax it yourself.
