bmi question
i have a question i have aetna choice pos II.
they state you hae to be obese for at least 5 yrs with these
1 a bmi over 40
or
2 a bmi over 35 with their list of co morbiditys ( only they have just4 things )
now i have had a bmi of over 35 for 5 yrs and this last yr its now 41.. i do not have the co morbidity things they list.. ( sleep study not for a few more weeks )
anyway beings my bmi hasnt been 40 for 5 yrs will they deny me hope not i know this sounds bad but i am deperate i hope the sleep study shows i have slep apnea then the insurance might cover it.. oh i am so worried and i want this so bad...

I'm not trying to get you down, but I'm pretty sure you're going to get denied the first time if you don't have one of the four co-morbities. Doesn't mean you can't get it overturned on an appeal. The first determination doesn't typically allow for any gray area, you either meet specifically what they state or you don't. Having said that, would it be bad for me to wish sleep apnea on you temporarily? I'm only teasing. I was just trying to make you laugh.
