Say Pay Help Needed

I need to know if there are any programs that may be able to help me pay for WLS.  I currently do not have insurance.

I have insurance and was for sure 8 months ago that I was going to get approved I had everything the insurance ask and it was looking good. Up until I found out there was a not an exclusion but a clause in my policy so I have been denied. I do not have the money to pay for the surgery. So not to make light of the situation but I was thinking ok if people can hold up signs on the street and collect then maybe I should hold up a sign and say I am fat and need to have surgery can you help!!!!  I know that is not funny. But that is like the only thing at this point I can think of. I mean I would have to sit in a chair cause I am 200lbs overweight and my legs would not even let me stand and hold the sign. LOL  It;s not funny I know but I laugh to keep from crying.

I understand what you are saying.  I am now a stay at home mom of 16 mth old triplet boys, but when I was working for the last 5 years before I had my babies, every time my insurance changed at work I tried to get the surgery approved.  I never had any luck.  I do not understand why drug and alcohol addictions are covered but food addiction is not.  I had a funny idea too to raise the money I will need for the surgery.... I love to cook and people love my cooking, I said I could hold a benefit and sale dinners to fund my weight lose surgery.  How funny is that, use food to get my money to have weight loss surgery. I know that we can not give up and that is a good idea that you have to do the cooking. WE have to take matters into our own hands it looks like. I really have been thinking of ways to fund my surgery. I know all the time that people get others to donate money. I work at my church and we are always having fund raisers to raise money for the kids to do things. I know that it can be done we just have to have some good ideas to do it. Also one of the things is finding a surgeon that will give us a good price. I want to have the DS done and it is very expensive. I think the cheapest I have seen is $20,000.00 and I would have to go out of town to do it. My surgeon wants $30,000 .00 We just can't give up!!! If it is meant to be it will happen.
