Waiting for Approval!

After three months of waiting for my psychiatrist to complete and send a form back to the behaviorist, I was informed today that the next step is getting the paperwork sent in to Medicare for approval.   I was told I'd have to wait 2-3 months to hear back from Medicare, yet I see many cases here where people have received confirmation within days or weeks.  Does anyone know the average or updated wait time?  Does the "necessity" of the operation have anything to do with response?  FWIW, I have a BMI of 56, and three co-morbidities; I have Medicare parts A & B. Getting more excited, now! 

Good luck!! I'm just starting the whole thing....registered for a July 13 seminar and hope to follow that quickly with first consult. Starting tomorrow with regular doctor to see what I can get done before the seminar to get things lined up as necessary. HOpe you hear soon!
