Ok, so here’s my deal…. First of all, thanks to anyone *****ads this and helps me. You certainly don’t owe me any of your time so I truly appreciate your response.

I just joined a company that I know has a rider and approves WLS (all types). There is another person at my company who is going through the approval process right now and she’s told me she is require to do a 3 month multidisciplinary program meeting with an MD, RD and exercise physiologist for 3 months. Has anyone done anything like this? If so, how frequently do I need to meet with all these people (how many times per month?) I do not yet have my benefits because I just joined the company however, it will only be 90 days until my benis kick in so I'm thinking about getting started on my 3 month program now so that I wont have to prolong surgery another 3 months down the road.  What do you think?  Thanks SOOOO much for any info. Hi Jenn, I had to complete a 3 month multi-disciplinary program.  It went a little something like this... I saw my surgeon every 3 weeks.  On those appointments we discussed a low calorie diet and exercise program.  I was require to keep a food journal during this process.  I only had to see a nutritionist once and this was arranged through the surgeon's office.  It was scheduled on the same day I was going in for a regular appointment, so I didn't have to request another afternoon off. I also went ahead and saw a psychiatrist for my evaluation.  My surgeon's office was able to give me the name of someone.   Some people say a 3 month supervised diet only requires 4 appointments.  I have Aetna and my surgeon's office was adament that Aetna wanted to see me complete the 3 months.  I started on Feb 26th, so my last appointment needed to be on May 26th or later.  I don't know how true this is, but the surgeon's office has avoided unnecessary denials by making sure the 3 months is completed.   Hope this helps.  Good luck to you....
