Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma

Anybody have Blue Cross blue Shield of Oklahoma?  This is my insurance.  I just finished my 6 months doctor supervised diet and submitted all my paper work in last week.  The bariatric center I go to said they have done  everything to the book and there shouldn't be a problem, but I hate the waiting.  Just wondering if anyone has this ins. and if so how long did you wait for an answer and did you get approved? HI Tammy, I have Blue Cross Blue Sheild of Illinois and am at the same place as you...  Everything was sent to insurance last week (friday 5/25) so here I sit and wait.... I do hope we dont have to wait too long... the insurance lady at my surgeons office said they can legally take up to 60 days to decide.   I sure hope they dont wait that long.

I would suggest that both of you stay in regular contact with your insurance company on at least a weekly basis. Even though doctor's offices state that they have done everything "by the book", you want to follow up by verifying that everything was received by the insurance company. I would not, however, suggest calling the insurance company daily in an attempt to ru**** From experience of taking such calls, it almost never does any good at expediting the adjudication process for your request for surgery.
