BCBS of GA

Anyone have BCBS of Georgia? (PPO).   I'm in the waiting to be submitted line... my dr is suppose to review my chart on Tuesday and then decide whether he needs to talk to me or submit to insurance.   I was just wondering if anyone out there has this insurance and how long it took to get the approval, what they required, all the basics I guess.  I know its covered under my policy, no exclusions, must be medically necessary with a BMI > 40 or >35 with co-morbidities.  I have a BMI of 41.6.  It does mention dr supervised diet, but doesn't say how long or recent.  My PCP did write a letter stating I was a good candidate for the surgery, numerous diets including diet pills and/or exercise and portion control.  SOooooooooo any input would be appreciated.

Please let me know if you are approved with what your doctor sent in. Sounds alot like what my doctor did and bcbs of al denied it. But I cant get a straight answer of exactly what kind of diet documentation they want
