I GOT APPROVED

Today I called BlueCross Blueshield Of Alabama and was told that I got approved So then I called the sergeons office and they gave me my surgery date of June 4th. I cannot wait, I called BCBS 2 times a day. My info was faxed in on April 19 & was Approved on May 10th. I went to Huntsville Hospital after work I did all my pre-addmisson test (EKG, Blood Work, X-rays) all the good stuff, payed my co-payment for surgery $100.00  SO Ladies move on over and make me some room on the losser bench because I will be there very soon....

Congratulations Jordan!!!    I'm excited for you and I dont even know you!! LOL  But I do know how it feels to get that approval!!  I'll beat you to the bench by a week and a half or so, I'll make sure to save a seat for you!!

Congratulations.  I can tell you from personal experience that June 4 is a great day.  I should know thats my birthday.  So that will be a great blessed day for both of us. Nikki

Hi and congratulations!  I too have bc/bs of al but I live in georgia. It is through my dh work.  I can't belive the list of stuff but think I have done it all but the 6 month diet with 3 month consecutive.  my doctor wrote a note on his office visit sheet when I went in last that I had been on a 1200 cal diet for 6 month with no considerable weight loss and she recommended me having lapband surgery.  The insurance said that was not enough. they said it had to be  documented visits for a consecutive 3 months.  did you have to do this?
