What I learned about the Aetna Pre-op diet

I hope all you Aetna members find this helpful. The 3 month pre-op diet Aetna requires has a stipulation not listed on Aetna's website.  If you maintain the same weight or gain weight Aetna will deny your WLS request.  I saw my surgeon on Friday and had the same weight from my last visit, so I had to strip down to my undies.  Luckily, the clothes weighed 2 pounds.  My surgeon told me that Aetna will deny the request if I had gained weight.  If removing my clothes did not work, I would have had to go on a liquid diet and come back Monday morning. This is a stipulation I was not aware of until Friday.  Just wanted to give all you Aetna pre-oppers a heads up. 

Hmm this is interesting. I just finished my 6 months supv. diet and i havent gained any weight back  now i am worried...
