medicare question.

I have  medicare  and  medicaid  and  i  was  told  medicare  automatically  approves  which  i  was  but  i  have  been  waiting  since  march  2006  for  a  surgery  date.  the  hospital  i'm  suppose  to  have  the  surgery  at  was  not  a  c.o.e  but  they  inspected  the  place  and  got  approved, but  they got  the  ok  over  the  phone  since  feb.  thats 3 months ago.  they  are  still  waiting  for  the  legal documents  to  come  in  the mail.  they  inspected  the  hospital  in  nov. 2006.  and  they  got  the  ok.  in  feb.  so  my  question  is  does  anyone  know  how  long  it  takes  for  the  legal docs.  to  come  in  the  mail?  i'm  getting  so  frustrated  Idid  all  my  blood  work,  ekg, sleepstudy  and  all  since  march  of  2006  ive  waited  awhole  year  already.  how  much  longer?    DEBBIE

It should be soon.  Check with www.asbs.org.   They may be able to give you a better time frame.
