Tricare--do they cover the Lapband?

Does anyone know? Im posting this because my mother wants to know. Any one with any info,, please let me know. Steve

Tricare does not cover the Lap Band procedure.  They will cover Gastric Bypass if you meet their qualifications.  Standard covers 75-80% of the allowable, depending on if you use a network doctor or not.  Prime will cover 100%.  Let me know if you need to know the qualifications for gastric bypass.
