I have my first appointment with my surgeon on Friday, and was wondering if anyone had dealt with Fiserv/Wausau Insurance? If so any information that you are able to give would be of great assistance.

I also have Fiserv/Wausau and am having a very hard time with the six month supervised diet requirement.   My regular doc was clueless about it and I went to a dietician but they didn't know what was required.    Can you share with me anything you have found out from them?    I don't want to waste my time and money going to the surgeon if the insurance is standing in my way!   Thanks so much and good luck to you!!!

When I talked to the insurance company I asked them to send me the requirements for surgery  and they sent me a listing of what the basic requirements are, two pages worth. All it stated with the 6 month diet is that you either need to have 6 consecutive months of documentation from your physican with details of your progress and of the program that you are involved in, OR you could go to a community program that documents weight loss such as weigh****chers with 6 consecutive months of documentation. If you call and ask them to send you the information they are more than willing to do so.
