Im confused, i think i did things backwards

So my doctor doesnt accept any inurance, however I called my insurance and they said they would pay for some on a case by case basis. Im all scheduled to go but I have not heard from insurance company yet..i will self pay if i have to, but it seems ill be having the surgery before i evne know if i was approved or not. DOes this make any sense?

You really need to clear up the insurance issues before. Because..... If they decide after not to pay, you're stuck.  Ok, so you self pay. But let's say they decide not to pay, you pay cash, and you're in the hospital a few extra days.  More money you owe.  Plus the carrier won't cover any follow ups or complications. Gagner has a great staff, speak with them and get something in writing from your carrier.

I know I need to pay what the insurance wont cover, that Im ok with. Like I said if im self pay, so be it. Its in an investment in my future. I would imagine the insurance would have to pay for the hospital stay though. I am staying longer most likely (two nights) for cardiac reasons, which is covered. Ill call them again just to make sure. thanks
