How long now?
My surgeon mailed in my letter of medical necessity to BCBS of IL yesterday. (Ins co said they don't accept faxes of that length.) I was wondering how long it takes to get approved after they receive it? And do I need to check with my surgeon's office to find out or will they let me know? I've been denied twice before (about 4-5 years ago) and so I know how long it takes to get denied, but not approved. (This time I'm expecting to get APPROVED!!!)
Thanks for the help!!!

Good afternoon,
I had BCBS of Illinois and I hated them. You can call them by the end of the week sometimes and they will tell you straight up. I was denied twice and I had all the paperwork all I can tell you is to pray. Stay on top of them they can be very rude sometimes. I have not been on this forum for almost 7 months because I have been depressed. I finally quit my job and I am working with a new company that has another health insurance and now I must submitt everything again, but enough about me I will keep you in my prayers maybe you will have better luck than me.

Liliana,
I am so sorry that you have had so many problems getting approved and that you went through such a long depression. Believe me....I understand. Like I said before, I've tried several times and been denied several times. I just look at it like this...if I pray about it and it's meant to happen, it will happen. It doesn't matter which insurance I have nor does it matter who the decision maker is. They're not in control...God is!!! I'm expecting only good things...I pray that you'll be better off with your new insurance company. Thanks for your comment.
