New Insurance will not cover

My husband just started a new job, his new insurance is through Aetna, our old insurance is also through Aetna  . I am almost complete with all my requirements. The only problem now is that the new plan doesnt cover this procedure. I read this "It is GA State law that insurance compaines have to cover WLS if it is medically nessacary " Is there any truth to this? My BMI is 47, with sleep apnea, depressing, insomnia etc.  TIA
