appeal????

Hi, I have bcbs excellus out of rochester. I have abmi of 39.5 and i have sleep apnea,high cholesterol,fatty liver,borderline diabetic,joint pain,i just had knee surgery for a torn meniscus(don't know if weight has anything to do with it) my family history has morbid obesity,diabetes,high bp,ect. in almost all immediate family, Several family members have had the surgery already. Any way i went through al the steps six months observation i am smoke free 7 months now,my doctor told me it was ano brainer i would get approved..i got denied....i am so deppressed. My doctor has sent a letter of appeal does anyone think i have a chance or am i just wasting everyones time?thank you for letting me vent....nikki

Make sure you can get an external review with New York State.  In the meantime, don't worry just be thorough
