Aetna and Secondary insurance

I went for my consult with my doctor on March 28th 2007, I had blood work and psych eval  done. They submitted to my insurance shortly after my appointment and Aetna denied it, they said that my husbands employer has an exclusion. So I purchased Personal Choice on my own as a secondary insurance effective April1,2007. Will they cover the surgery? I will only have Aetna until 6/30/07 as my husband was laid off yesterday, then Personal Choice will be my primary  since there was no lapse in coverage does the prexsisting conditions pertain to me? Prior to Aetna I had BCBS I dont know if that matters but I know if you go from one BCBS plan to another they waive the Prexisting conditions clause. I really need to have this surgery I am 5'1" 256 I can barely walk because I am in so much pain. It just seems as if they would rather pay for all the damage from the comorbidities than to take care of it before it is to late. I look forward to hearing from you . Thanks, Cindy

I am going through the same thing. My husband has Aetna and I thought it was a good plan not needing refferals and being able to go outside the network but when I called they said it wasn't covered. I thought they did from researching so maybe it is the employer. I hope you get approved.
