Calculating BMI

hi all i was reading some post and looking for info on my insurance and it states that one must be 200% over ideal weight to qualify without co-morbiities......sorry for sounding dumb but can someone help me calculate? lets say ideal is 123  low end and i weigh 247  with BMI of 42 wouldnt that be like 200%??? am i correct? thanks  deb

Did you find out this requirement from reading posts on here or from your insurance documents?  You can't solely rely on postings here because each person's health plan is different.  It depends on how your insurance is funded. I don't know how to calculate the 200% you are referring to but as much resourceful information as they have on obesityhelp.com, I am sure there is a formula posted somewhere. MM
