Medicare - post surgery

Whoa! Am I ever relieved - I see from my secondary insurance that Medicare which is the primary payer will pay for the surgery. This has been on the back of my mind because there was no pre-approval from Medicare and so I was at their mercy and thinking what I would sell to meet the charges - selling my husband and cat were out of the question.

My question is this - Medicare has paid about half of the charges so.... does the doctor/hospital bill me for the remainder and do I have to pay it? Does any one know? I see the surgeon soon and will ask the billing department.
Thanks,

Thanks, Paul The scondary has already paid - all in all between the two insurers half of the bill has been paid. Hopefully, the surgeon/hospital will be OK with that amount and I won't have to pay the remainder.
