which state's law governs?
Just wondering which state's law governs for health insurance? Specifically:
- Insurance is BCBS-Illinois thru husband's employer
- Employer has locations in Illinois (first location and manufacturing facility), Georgia, and North Carolina
- Husband is employed thru North Carolina location (paycheck issued from Illinois location)
- Our domicile was North Carolina when first selecting insurance in March 2006, we have since moved to South Carolina (June 2006).
So . . . what law governs?
thanks!

Where coverage is provided for you (the State you reside in).
Now if the company hires the insurance company to manage and the company is the one actually paying, then it doesn't matter what State you're in as they would not be able to help you. My insurance was like this and I was not able to get the State Board of Insurance involved because of this but fought my appeal and won.
Good luck.
