sleep apnea
I have a question....my sleep study was yesterday. The tech told me this morning that I have mild to moderate sleep apnea. I know that sleep apnea is a co morbidity that most insurance companies will pay for wls...I was wondering does it matter that it's only a mild to moderate form of it or just the fact that I have it but don't need the breating machine is okay. Thanks.

First of all, congrats... you don't have severe sleep apnea and you don't have to have a CPAP. That is awesome, wish I could fall into that category. This is just my opinion so I don't really know how accurate it is, but I would think b/c you have sleep apnea, regardless of the severity of it, it still is a co-morbidity and it would only get worse as you gain more weight so the surgery would be beneficial to you. Hopefully the insurance company will see it the same way. Good luck. Jenifer
