NEW SURGEON

In the process of an appeal with Cigna, should hear soon.  My question is has anyone switched surgeons and does that require a whole new approval process?  If so I won't even think about it.  The surgeon I started with is 3 hours away, as that is where I used to live/work.  I have since moved and was contemplatng switching surgeons, but don't want to if there are any insurance reprucussions.

Ether the surgeons office didn't send all of the paperwork, It has been refaxed again as of today.  Just wondering what happens if I decide to change surgeons. If this approval goes thru, would I have to get a whole new authorization and go thru this again once I get a new surgeon?

The doctors office the medically supervised my Healthfast diet got a call from Cigna today trying to verify a few things.  Not sure if that is good or bad.

Well I have my fingers and toes crossed LOL.  Cigna called the surgeons office to find out why the discrepancy and asked them for the number to the program I had participated in.  They gave it to them and the nurse called almost immediately according to the receptionist at the program.  Nurse Practioner at program talked to Cigna and confirmed that they in fact have all of the correct information that there was some missing paperwork the first time.   So we will see. 

Well I will wait patiently for the call from the Surgeon's office or Cigna, not sure if the case manager will make the decision or if it goes to someone else.  Do you?  Wonder when I will hear one way or another.  Don't want to get my hopes up in case they come up with another issue. If this all goes thru,  I will probably have the surgery in CT and then transfer up to NH for aftercare, after the follow ups.   I will let you know when/what I hear from them.  Thanks for your help.
