Got Approved in one day

Hi everyone, Long time follwoer of this board, firdt time contributor.  Thanks everyone for all the great advise.  I have Aetna PPO insurance.  My surgeons office submitted the paperwork on Friday afternoon and i got a call this morning @ 9 am that i am approved for a lap band surgery. I was pleasently surprised.  I have scheduled the date of Fri Dec 29th fo rthe surgery.  really looking forward to it! If anyone need any advise with Aetna PPO and how i got the approval in 1 day plz let me know.

Congratulations!  I have Aetna POS and got approved a couple of weeks ago. It only took three days. I was suprised too. Everyone said Aetna is really tough. I had no problem.

Congratulations!  Please do tell how you were approved in one day.  I too have Aetna PPO and my information was submitted by my surgeon's office last week.  My case is still pending.  Please let me know your tricks...  Thanks and congrats again.

Please tell ... I also have Aetna PPO and have just gathered all my past records going back to 1994 of the different things I've tried and wrote them a letter as to why I need this.  Hope to get approved. Please tell us your story

I have Aetna PPO and they did send a letter to my doctor stating they got the information and the proicedure is covered but its not real specific about whether its approved or not. It also says its not a guarantee of payment until procedure is complete.
