new job, new policy reads:

."..Morbid Obesity Expenses (non-HMO plans)

Covered Medical Expenses include charges made on an inpatient or outpatient basis by a hospital or a physician for the surgical treatment of morbid obesity by a covered person.  Limitations apply.  For more information, contact your health plan."

ILooks like I'll FINALLY be able to get a revision but I think I'll wait mid to late next year to do it. I will be going to an Aetna plan and read their requirements online. I think I definitley meet their requirements....

Wish me luck...

I shouldve mentioned the excerpt came from my benefits book website so my Aetna Choice Plan should cover me with no problems.  And it couldn't come sooner.  I had RNY proximal in 1998 weighing in at 336.5; my lowest weight was 215. I'm only 5'1" and I've been battling my weight post op for several years.  Last year, I had twins and I've gained almost everything back. Today, I weigh 298lbs. I'm scared because I really don't eat much, although, I no longer have the restriction I did before. I certainly don't eat as much as I did pre op. I avoid junk food wherever possible. I truly believe my metabolism is retarded.   I know it's a taboo thing to say but  I needed good insurance; I've been hoping for employment that would cover the surgery.  I'm a good employee, I deserve to get the 'perks'! In any case, I've found it.  Thanks for responding... Luv Sharon
