I have Aetna, I'm waiting on approval, I have questions

Does anyone know if Aetna approves the VBG procedure. Or even the VSG. I think the VSG is considered experimental. I'm not sure about the VBG. Does Aetna approve experimental surgery? My husbands  ins. is through UPS.  in  La.
