BC/BS of Missouri-Antheim has any one had this insurance and been approved?

We just got the insurance and they said there is an exclusion.  Please help.

I have ppo, and we haven't got our booklets either. My surgeon called them and they said it was an exclusion. Thanks so much for responding.

I don't know why this insurance would have an exclusion when it clearly states on their website that they cover the surgery.  Maybe I'm missing something.  I dunno.

The insurance company offers different rates to companies who will exclude certain coverages. If the company chooses a cheaper rate and excludes one of the options (such as WLS) then there is no way around it. I had the same problem, however my company has chosen to include the WLS coverage beginning in 2007, so you may be in luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I finally found out what the problem is we are fully funded which means the insurance company pays everything.  They said in the past the complications has cost up to 400,000 and that is the problem.  They said they tried to find an insurance that would cover it and they would not, because we are fully funded. Thanks for the hope though.
