of any kind is there any way to fight it? Gary V has asked me to call him and he will help if he can but  I am just wondering if there is even an option of me fighting this?? I am so sad..I need this surgery and it seems like there is no way.I can't self pay and I make too much money to qualify for medicaid which would pay for my RNY.My surgeon suggested that one..and I am just so let down nothing has worked. I am trying to lose weight but it isn't happening..and I am only 27 and don't feel like doing anything anymore.I have two kids..one a baby and I really thought this surgery would be a new beginning for me. Someone suggested for me to get my own insurance and be taken off of my husband's insurance (the one with the exclusion) but the private insurance I did call (Anthem) says nobody would be approved for RNY with having their own insurance..not being with a group???!! Any advice would be wonderful!

Hi Shannon, Gary is worth it. Fight it all the way. I fought my employer, however, I did not get them to overturn their exclusion when I had surgery. But a year later they decided to include it in their policy because of my fight. Just beleive that anything is possible, as long as you put your mind to it.  If you can get insurance through your employer then that is another option. However, most individual policy's will not cover weight loss surgery.

Good luck and fight the good fight,

Gina
