I just seen my Dr. yesterday, and he gave me a list of things and Dr. to see. So today I call for my appt. with the Psych, and I asked if he accepts my Oxford Liberty, and he said the Insurance company won't pay it because there is nothing wrong with me.  It's going to cost $200.00.  Is this normal and what other out of pocket will I need.

Thats pretty standard but I would try to get them to file it anyways just to see what happens.  As far as other out of pocket expenses you'll probably have to pay out of pocket for the nutrition class and your out of pocket max for the year.

i have out of pocket beyond copay too... 1,000 cash because attending surgeon does not accept insurance 250 for psych eval--some insurance will cover at a perentage though or reimburse you. and 200 for 2 week optifast diet b4 surgery it all adds up quick --check with your insurance company to see if they have providers or if they at least will reimburse some of it good luck

If you employer or your husband's employer has a healthcare savings account that you contribute to, many of the out of pocket expenses that you end up with can be sent to your HSA administrator for reimbursement.  Hope that is something that applies to you and wish you lots of luck.
