How long does an External Appeal Take?

I got a letter from Aetna today saying they received my request for my external appeal. They had the person/DR name & address who will be doing this appeal, saying she received this also. Anyone know how long this usually takes. It took about a month for each denial, so I wonder how long this wait will be.

It depends on which state you live in. If you go to the insurance forum and click on insurance by state it will tell you how long they have to respond to your appeal.
