I am told that my husbands ER has a EXCLUSION on Obisity surgery... My surgeon is looking into it. I'm worried and sad. What do I do next if it IS in fact excluded???

Yes, I am told that if it is excluded there is nothing you can do but pay for it yourself. It's funny, they pay for rehab but nothing for weight loss... All the best to you as well. Please keep me posted as to how things go for you.

Great West has exclusions? I have Great West Healthcare PPO and had my wls 3/24/05. Just had abdominioplasty 2 weeks ago they approved.  I guess there are different versions of Great West. All I know about them is the one we have has NO exclusions, as long as its medically necessary. Good luck to u

Yes, companies can choose to exclude certain things in order to cut costs. It's definitly excluded for me. Unless I have 20 grand it's over for me.. Well, I don't so...

I am sorry. I wish I knew something that would help u but in a situation like this I am lost.  I know we're switching to BCBS next year, but I'd say thats only my DH's company.  Keep your chin up, anything is possible.
