Shirley, I first need to apologize that it has taken so long for me to get back to you on this post.  The answer to your question is no, I was not approved by UHC.  It is so very frustrating that insurance companies will cover alcohol and drug addiction therapies, but not food addiction.  Please let me know if I can help you in any way. Julie, Yes you can help. Do you mind sharing what the lawyer said.I wrote to a lawyer here on the board and never have got a answer. So sorry to hear of you trouble,because I'm going though the part now that the insurance is saying that it needs to be check to see if my policy will cover this.
