BCBS Traditional

Can anyone tell me how long it took them to get approved for the WLS?  Were there any difficulities in the approval process? Just finished the process and awaiting approval.

I am waiting for my letter any day now. I started in 11/05. I completed all testing and paperwork was put in 12/05 I was denied by GHI because they required a 6 month medically supervised diet. I finished the 6 months and paperwork was sent again. Denied again because they did not have a letter from my pcp. Finally got that letter and paperwork was faxed either 9/11 or 9/12 so now I am waiting.  I guess what annoyed me most was that noone mentioned the 6 month diet until I was denied. I don't know if it was a new requirement or not but  I am finally done and waiting like you. Hopefully we will both get approved.
