Why won't anyone help me?

Two different insurance companies (Fortis and BCBSTX) 7 denials.  Denied by Texas Rehab, need 1 year doctor supervised weight loss program.  Did the 1 year diet and I'm trying again but rehab councilor is really trying to bring me down.  Even after a year a doctor supervised weight loss she wants me to keep going to show that I am "trying".  Every word out of her mouth is discouraging.  She doesn't want to except my psych test from bariatric center.  She keeps telling me this is going to be a long process.  I can't self pay because I have a seriously ill huband that may die at any moment.  I'm sick in pain and depressed and I just don't know how much more I can take.  By the way except for diabetes I have all the other co-morbids.  Sorry  guys I just need some encouragment.

I agree don't let them sap your strength.  That's what they want.  The process though goes as long as you allow it.  Stay on top of them and demand responses in writing so you have journal to use just in case.

Thanks G for the encouraging words.  I'm not going to up I just need to vent sometimes.  I know one day that the insurance companies will be forced to cover weight loss surgery.  I just hope I'm still around when it happens.  In the mean time I'm going to continue writing letters and letting as many people as possible know what it's like being obese, needing medical care not being able to get it.
