Waiting for Aetna PPO Open Choice

Do any of you have this insurance through Farmers Insurance. My information was sent to Aetna today. How long should I give them before I call to see the status of my claim and precert?

Thanks, Did you have the 3 mo or the 6 month weight history documented? That is the only thing that I am concerned about. My BMI is 37 with GERDS, sleep apnea, high cholestrol and hypothyroid. I just don't know what to expect. All the other documentation has been met.  Thanks again, Martha

I hope you get approved right away.  I also have Aetna PPO and am still in the first month of three months of Multidisciplinary surgical preparatory regimen (per their Clinical Policy). I hope approval doesn't take long.  I will complete my 3 months at end of November, and hope to submit to insurance then.  I want an approval before the new year.   I wonder what happens if my surgeon submits my request before the end of the year and it takes until after the new year for approval.  I'm so afraid that my employer policy will exclude obesity surgery next year.   Maybe I should post this as a separate post and question.
