Does anybody have any experience with trying to get the WLS approved that has Aetna EPO.  The doctor I want to go to (Dr. Crum) is 'in-network' as a surgeon.  I just didn't know if somebody had a good/bad experience with Aetna EPO. Thanks!
I had my surgery May 21st, 2007

Leslie: Congratulations on seeking to improve your health! Choosing a provider who is participating with your insurance company is always a positive start.  However, you want to first check your explanation of coverage (the article that details what your specific coverage is) to see what the coverage and limitations of your benefits are.  If weight-loss surgery is an exclusion, you will be in for the ride of your life. Mainly, start from an educated place regarding your benefits so that you know what you have to work with.  Also, as the moderator stated on the opening page of this forum, galvanize for a fight with your employer or insurance company, as for some people, that is what it is to have the surgery approved.
